If you want to be able to get the most out of your shaving experience, you’re going to need to start with the right electric cordless shaver for you. There are models available with a wide variety of features, and in a range of different price points.  That means that whether your hair comes back at the end of a work day, or you only need to shave once a week, you’ll be able to find a razor that works well for your needs. Here’s a few tips to help you find it.

First, you would need to consider what you need out of a cordless razor. It might sound a different, but when you think about it, a woman shaving her legs is going to need something different than a man who needs to shave his face. Hair grows at different rates for each person, and we all have different skin sensitivities, too.  You may require certain functions, such as a long lasting power source, or a combination shaver/trimmer.  Those with very sensitive skin may want to find models that are capable of preventing razor burn, as well.

Think about what you’re willing to spend, as well. There are plenty of less expensive cordless shavers on the market, ranging up to advanced models at several hundred dollars.  Your pocketbook and your needs are going to determine the shaver you buy.  In general, the lowest priced shavers won’t be as long lasting or offer as many options.  For most of us, it’s wiser to buy a little more expensive model that will last a long time.  Of course, if there are two shavers from a dependable brand that offer nearly the same features, the more expensive one may simply be a more recent model. In this case, you can safely choose the less expensive shaver and save a bit.

In general, if you’re torn between two models - one with more options and one with fewer - you’ll want to pick the one that gives you the most for your money.  This allows you more versatility and lets you play with different settings to find the one you like best. Remember - just because a cordless shaver does well for one person, it doesn’t mean it’ll be the best choice for you.  That’s the reason adjustability is so important.  Do remember to look for top brands you are familiar with or well known brands like Braun shavers. That’s because there’s a level of dependability in these shavers that you might not find in a off-brand model.

Remember to ask for a shaver that functions in the shower or other wet conditions, or if you’ll only be shaving in dry ones.  For those who want to use their razors in the bath or shower, a fully submersible model is your best choice.  Think about how it cuts, as well.  Shavers that lift the hair before cutting will enable a much closer, smoother shave.  However, they can also increase irritation in people with very sensitive skin.  Shaving heads that will adjust to the curvature of your skin may make up for this, and will also give a closer shave.

One feature that many people have good luck with is a system for automatic cleaning.  Available in many cordless shavers, this feature forces cleaning solutions through the shaver heads.  This removes particles of dead skin and cut hair, and does so much better than a manual clean.  This type of shaver tends to last a lot longer than those which require manual cleaning , especially since many people don’t remember to clean their shavers properly.  Some shavers which don’t have cleaning systems will let you to clean them by holding the head under running water, which can be very convenient.Cordless shavers should ideally have some indicator lights to tell you when they’re in need of a charge.  This stops you from discovering yours is out of power halfway through shaving.

Remember to think about the warranty on your cordless razor, as well.  A well crafted tool will have a warranty of two years or so.  You should be able to return the shaver with no trouble for repair or to be replaced if you have any trouble at all.  Beware of shavers that have very limited warranties or very short warranty periods.  The manufacturer may not be willing to back up their product.

If you’re looking for the best cordless shaver for your needs, just a small amount of planning will help you get it.  All you have to do is take the time to think about what you need out of your razor, pay attention to the options of the models in the stores, and comparison shop to get a good deal.  You’ll have a pleasant shaving experience and smooth skin, without any problems.
